Membership

Tualatin Internal Medicine is transitioning to a membership model.  Introductory letter was mailed to existing patients and is also available on the website. (Below)

This DOES NOT impact existing insurance contracts, insurance reimbursements, copays but rather there is additional benefits of membership to the clinic that are outlined in the membership agreement. 

Age <50 - $50/YEAR

Age 50-64 - $100/YEAR

Age >65 - 150/YEAR

Membership Coordinator

1.  Does this mean Tualatin Internal Medicine is going to be a Concierge practice?

No, this is simply a membership fee similar to a Costco or Amazon membership.  We will still be billing your insurance and taking copays as in the past.

2.  Will my existing insurance still be accepted at this clinic?

Yes!!!  There are no changes to our existing insurance contracts or participation in those contracts.  We are always evaluating our existing contracts and making determinations on continuing them, but this is not related to the membership.  

3. Can I use my HSA/FSA card to pay for my membership?

Unfortunately, you will probably not be able to use your HSA/FSA accounts to pay your membership fee as this would not be considered a billable medical expense. Your tax advisor can better answer this question.
